“When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.”
(Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus)
Hello everyone! I’m the person behind Dahlia’s Books.
You can call me Mia, Hong, Maya, or Dahlia—I don’t hold onto any one name. To me, a name is merely a reflection of life, the outer expression of the soul. Regardless of what I’m called, the essence of my spirit is free, always seeking adventure and embracing the world, eager to explore fresh angles of life.

I have a deep admiration for the beauty of dahlias, especially the red ones. They always remind me of the vibrancy and beauty of life.
I also love Van Gogh’s quote: “And then I have nature and art and poetry, and if that’s not enough, what is enough?” This sentiment resonates with me as well. For me, dahlias and books represent every aspect of life —beauty, the present moment, impermanence, and yet a sense of permanence.
I chose to categorize my books under Picture Books because I am irresistibly drawn to the combination of words, colors, and shapes. I believe that good books should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age. There is always a part of us as adults that remains a child, isn’t there?
I’m excited to share my two upcoming books:
Lily and Bell Peppers
How to Catch a Dream – The Tale of Neem and His Goose Friends
Nice to e-meeting you and thank you for your support!
